New Patients:
What to Expect
First Appointment: Initial Assessment & Intake
Your first appointment is a thorough intake where we review your health concerns, medical history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and the factors that may be contributing to how you’re feeling. The goal is to understand the bigger picture and identify the root causes of your health concerns.
If available, please send any recent bloodwork or relevant medical records in advance. At the end of your appointment, we’ll discuss initial treatment steps, answer your questions, and determine what additional lab testing may be helpful before creating your Comprehensive Care Plan.
Second Appointment: Your Comprehensive Care Plan
At your first follow-up appointment, we review your lab results in detail, explain what they mean, and bring together everything we learned during your initial assessment to create your Comprehensive Care Plan.
Your plan may include nutrition, supplements, lifestyle recommendations, metabolic support, thyroid optimization, and other individualized strategies based on your health goals. For patients interested in prescription treatment, Natural Desiccated Thyroid (NDT) or Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) may also be initiated when appropriate. When both are being considered, they are generally introduced separately so we can safely assess your response to each treatment.
Follow-Up Appointments: Ongoing Care & Treatment
After your initial appointments, follow-up visits are generally recommended approximately every three months, depending on your individual health needs and treatment plan. These appointments allow us to monitor your progress, review symptoms and lab results, adjust your treatment plan, and continue working toward your health goals.
For patients using prescription treatments, including Natural Desiccated Thyroid (NDT) and Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), regular follow-up is necessary to ensure medications remain safe and appropriate, make adjustments when needed, and provide ongoing prescription renewals.
My Role as a Naturopathic Doctor
My role as a Naturopathic Doctor is to provide clarity and guidance by looking at the full picture, investigating contributing factors, and connecting the dots behind your symptoms.
Together, we use your health history, symptoms, lab results, and goals to create a Comprehensive Care Plan that is individualized to you. Your plan may include nutrition, lifestyle strategies, supplements, and prescription treatment when appropriate.
My goal is to give you a clear path forward, along with the support, education, and accountability needed to make sustainable changes. As your health evolves, we continue to reassess, refine your treatment, and help you make confident decisions about your care.
